While States and Federal governments are reaping record income levels and budget surpluses, they are all talking about more ways to tax us. One of those is the (expected) Internet tax.  Since the Internet is unregulated (should stay that way) and unsupported by the government, they have no justification to tax it again.

Again??? Yes, think about all the sales (and other taxes) you already pay; hardware and software purchase, phone bill itself and the [hidden] Universal Service Fund on your phone bill. Did I miss a few? Probably...

If you have not heard about the "Internet Tax Freedom Act" yet you soon will, but don't let the name fool you! This is simply a three moratorium during which time State and Local authorities could not levy Internet taxes. Sound Good?

THERE'S MORE. During this time the Federal government will "study" Internet taxation ideas.  In other words, the government is going to take three years and study how they should tax the internet!

Enough already! No more taxes!

The bills are HR 1054 and SB 442.  Want to do something. Let some people know!
